Elin Ludvigsen is the founder of and the creative force behind Blomst Floral Design. Born and raised in Norway, Elin studied floristry, horticulture, and green design at Vea, the leading Norwegian institution in the field. Elin honed her skills as an apprentice with leading floral and product designer, Sidsel Forr Hemma. The highlight of her young career was her work on the floral design team that for the International Olympic Committee and the Norwegian Royal Family during the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.
In 2001, Elin moved to the U.S. with her husband and twin boys. Successfully juggling motherhood and her creative craft, Elin continued to create floral designs for events while also conducting classes in the field. In 2009, she participated in an experimental floral design course led by premier Norwegian floral designers and artists. She also assisted the Danish artist Tage Andersen on his newest project, Gunnillaberg in Sweden .
Drawing inspiration from nature, art, Scandinavian design, and modern architecture, Elin continues to create cutting-edge floral designs for weddings and other major events in the New York/Philadelphia area and worldwide.
